We would like to offer your child the opportunity to take part in Therapeutic Mentoring
A warm, child-led approach delivered in schools to support emotional wellbeing, confidence, and connection both in school and at home.
Sessions provide a calm, consistent space where young people can:
- Feel seen, heard, and valued
- Explore emotions safely and build self-understanding
- Develop tools for managing anxiety, stress, or overwhelm
- Strengthen confidence, communication, and self-belief
- Reconnect with learning, friendships, and family life
Each session is guided by the young person's needs and interests, allowing them to explore at their own pace. Our role is to gently support curiosity, reflection, and growth — helping pupils feel safe, empowered, and understood.
Who we can support
Therapeutic Mentoring can support pupils who:
- Feel anxious, withdrawn, or emotionally overwhelmed
- Struggle with attendance or EBSA
- Find communication or relationships difficult
- Mask additional needs or experience social exhaustion
- Show behaviour that may reflect worry, stress, or unmet needs
- Would benefit from a consistent, trusted adult to talk to
- young people who have lived through difficult or overwhelming experiences that may affect how they feel, relate and engage
How it works
Weekly 1:1, small-group or workshop sessions usually take place in school during the day when commissioned by the school.
- We also offer privately funded at-home therapeutic support for parents and carers who feel their child may benefit from additional support outside of school.
- These sessions are arranged and funded directly by families and are separate from any school-commissioned support.
- At-home therapeutic support may include gentle 1:1 support for the young person, emotional regulation work, confidence-building activities, grounding techniques, creative reflection, journaling, or support around anxiety, overwhelm, low self-esteem or emotional wellbeing.
- Where appropriate, and with family consent, we can liaise with school to help support a more joined-up understanding of the young person’s needs.
- Everything is grounded in connection, consistency and kindness, helping young people feel safe, understood and supported both at home and around school life.
