Family Support Service
Coming Soon
The Wonder Within is developing a family support service for young people and families who may need an additional layer of support around school, home and emotional wellbeing.
When a child is struggling, families can often feel overwhelmed by meetings, communication, decisions and the emotional impact of seeing their child in distress.
This service is designed to offer a calm, trusted and trauma-informed space for families, while also becoming another safe and consistent person around the young person, in their home.
The support can sit alongside school, helping to strengthen communication, understanding and connection between the young person, their family and the professionals involved.
This service may include:
- Emotional support for parents and carers
- A safe, consistent person for the young person to connect with
- Support before, during or after school meetings
- Help with school communication and correspondence
- Support around , anxiety, behaviour, reintegration or emotional wellbeing
- Trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware guidance
- Collaborative working with school pastoral, safeguarding, attendance and inclusion teams
This service is not designed to replace school systems or family relationships. It offers an additional layer of relational support, helping families feel less alone and helping young people feel more safely held during challenging times.
The aim is to create a steady bridge between home, school and the young person — supporting trust, communication and sustainable progress.
