Connection & Support Sessions for education professionals
Support for the adults who support in schools
Supporting school staff to feel connected, confident, and equipped to create nurturing environments where every member of staff and student can thrive.
Connection & Support Sessions for School Staff
Strengthening relationships. Protecting wellbeing. Building culture through partnership.
Connection & Support Sessions are dedicated, stand-alone adult sessions designed for education professionals working in emotionally demanding roles.
Delivered in partnership with Headteachers and Senior Leadership Teams, these sessions provide structured,
confidential space for staff to reflect, regulate, and strengthen their professional practice.
This is not therapy. It is professional relational support.
Who These Sessions Are For
- DSLs managing complex safeguarding responsibilities
- SENDCos supporting high-needs students
- Pastoral and behaviour leads
- Senior leaders carrying emotional weight
- Staff experiencing secondary stress, overwhelm, or compassion fatigue
What the Sessions Provide
Professional Reflective Space
Protected time to think clearly, process complex situations, and strengthen confident, steady decision-making.
Emotional Regulation & Wellbeing Support
Reducing burnout, preventing escalation, and supporting sustainable practice in demanding roles.
Relational Clarity
Helping staff respond rather than react — embedding consistent, relational leadership across school life.
Leadership Alignment & Professional Clarity
Connection & Support Sessions operate within clear professional boundaries and in transparent partnership with Headteachers and SLT.
Before sessions begin, we agree:
- The purpose and scope of the work
- Clear confidentiality parameters
- What remains private and what may be shared at a systems level
- How sessions support professional growth within existing leadership structures
These sessions are not a forum for grievance or complaint. They are a protected space for professional reflection, emotional regulation, and relational strengthening. Where appropriate, I can share high-level themes or patterns (never personal disclosures) to support leadership insight and relational development across the school. The intention is always alignment — not division.
Why This Matters
Schools are emotionally intensive environments.
When staff have protected space to reflect and regulate, they lead more clearly, communicate more consistently, and sustain their roles for longer.
Supporting the adults protects the culture.
And protecting the culture protects the students.

About Carly Uttridge
Therapeutic Mentor | Child, Teen & Family Coach
At the centre of my work is compassion and understanding for the challenging nature of education roles, particularly those involving safeguarding, pastoral care, and inclusion. I've combined my experience across various education settings with training in supervision models, therapeutic modalities, and trauma-informed practice.
My approach to supporting education professionals is always confidential, non-judgmental, and professionally focused. I believe that when we support the adults who care for children, we create ripple effects that benefit entire school communities. Through Connection & Support Sessions, I help education professionals build resilience, prevent burnout, and develop the skills they need to thrive in demanding roles.
