Carly Uttridge- Founder The Wonder Within Programme
Carly is a therapeutic practitioner with a broad background in child, teen and family support. Her early experience began within hospital settings, where she supported children and families during vulnerable and emotionally challenging times. It was here that her understanding began to deepen around the powerful role of safety, trust, play and connection in a child’s healing journey. She saw first-hand that when children are given the right environment, the right relationships and the freedom to express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe, meaningful healing becomes far more possible.
That understanding continued to shape Carly’s work as she went on to create and lead a forest school and fully outdoor, alternative provision, and it remains woven through her practice today. Her approach reflects a deep respect for children and young people, not simply for what they present on the surface, but for who they are underneath it. She is passionate about creating spaces where young people feel emotionally safe, genuinely understood and able to reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them.
Carly has since worked across education, family support and safeguarding. She is trained in psychopathology, NLP and a range of holistic modalities, which are thoughtfully woven into her practice alongside trauma-informed, relational and nervous-system-aware approaches.
Through The Wonder Within Programme, Carly works alongside schools to lead a different conversation around young people, behaviour and belonging. Her work helps schools look beyond what is being presented on the surface and begin to understand what a young person may be communicating through their attendance, emotional wellbeing, presentation or engagement.
Carly believes that lasting change happens when young people feel safe enough to be seen, heard and understood. Her approach is guided by kindness, connection and inclusion, supporting schools, families and young people to move forward with greater compassion, clarity and confidence.
